Equality Fairtrade Wines are a specially created range of Chilean
wines whose main focus is to bring social and environmental benefits
to poor areas of the Cauquenes region of the Maule Valley where
these wines are produced. This has been borne out of an in depth
knowledge that I have gained from working in Chile for the last ten
years in wines, in order to supply all sectors of the UK retail and
restaurant business sectors.
Fairtrade
ensures that growers are paid a fair price for their grapes, benefit
from a premium which is invested in social improvement and that
workers have decent wages and employment conditions.
In
creating the Equality brand I have sought to make a difference – a
real difference – that can be accountable and judged, and above all
to help those less fortunate. I want to make a difference without being
patronising either to the growers or to the customers.
We
have strived to deliver quality wines at great prices that are well
packaged and bring both pleasure to the consumer whilst assisting
those growers that are struggling to compete with the multi national
brands due to their size. Their work is fabulous, their grapes are
fabulous, and by creating the Equality range of wines, they have a
route to market at a truly fair price.
