ANOTHER AWARD FOR
EQUALITY
|
Equality Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 has won a silver medal in the
Annual Wines of Chile Awards.
These
prestigious awards, which take place in
Chile,
announced the results after the competition itself in January.
The panel of judges comprised leading
UK
wine writers and trade representatives. |
The results of the 5th
Annual Wines of Chile Awards were announced in at a Gala Dinner in
Santiago
in the presence of the cream of the Chilean Wine Trade, and the
visiting UK
judges.
Writing up on the competition for her website
www.thewinedetective.co.uk, one of the judges, Sarah Ahmed,
noted Equality Cabernet Sauvignon under some of her favourites from
the line up of wines: “lively
bilberry and blackberry flavours with earthy hints and a nice bit of
grip.” This
success for the 2006 vintage follows the achievement of the 2005
vintage which scooped the first ever gold medal awarded to a
Fairtrade Wine, in the International Wine Challenge 2006.
